Hike Korea operates as an External Activity Provider for Duke of Edinburgh Award, Adventurous Journeys, for International Schools in South Korea. The hiking journeys are separated into three stages. Bronze 1N/2D, Silver 2N/3D, and Gold 3N/4D of backpacking. Hike Korea has set up some picturesque routes with custom maps in the mountains and villages of Jollanam-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do provinces of South Korea. They are of middle or high school age and are required to self-navigate through the outdoor course as small groups, using maps and notes provided by HikeKorea. Sleeping in tents or cabins the students have to prepare and carry all their own equipment, including food, water (resupply), cooking utensils, first aid, clothing and more. They are tough yet enjoyable routes.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS
North London Collegiate School, Jeju Island.
Since 2019 I have been lucky enough to have worked with students and teachers from this school located on Jeju island. In 2020 we had to postpone any Duke of Edinburgh AJ due to covid. But in early 2021 we managed to continue with the DofE. The bronze, silver and gold medal adventurous journeys are conducted in Baeka-san area of Hwasun-gun, the Nakdong river in Andong-si, and Sobaek-san National Park. I am always scouting for more locations. In 2023 and 2024 NLCS continues to work with Hike Korea on developing outdoor education in Korea.
North London Collegiate School, Singapore.
Are coming to join NLCS Jeju on a silver medal adventurous journey in the chilly month of March along the Nakdong river and the Cheongryang-san region in Andong-si, Korea. Should be a good one.

Currently participating in bronze medal adventurous journeys and branching into more bronze and silver medal AJs, next year.

Did a bronze medal AJ during the corona period and are back again this year in 2023 for another bronze medal expedition and a bronze and silver sketched in for 2024.
British International School Hanoi, Vietnam
In 2017, they were the first international school to approach me for this work. They came to Korea each year and completed three Gold Medal adventurous journeys on the tough Nakdong-jeongmaek region in North Gyeongsang-do province.
