전 The southwest province of Jeollanam-do is one of the less travelled parts of Korea, yet like most of Korea, it possesses some great mountains. This hiking tour offers a look into rural parts of Korea where farming is a combination of agriculture and fishing. The peaks that we visit all offer expansive views of Korea’s South Sea and its clusters of large and small islands. The three target peaks are Palyong-san 607m, Wolchul-san 811m and Deokyong-san 433m. As you can see they are not particuarly high but it is their ridge courses along these peaks that are the real attraction. They are all full day walks and entail some steep climbing and clambering. This mountain tour of Jeollanam-do can be expanded into more peaks if desired.

Itinerary: We will travel by vehicle. A pick up and drop off location can be arranged via email. Normally it should be somewhere in the Jeollanam-do province, like Namwon, Gwangju or Mokpo. Each night after hiking will be spent in a nearby accommodation offering a bed and shower. We will eat in local restaurants. A temple stay can also be arranged on request.

Pricing: 3N/4D 1pax $2500USD, 2pax $2750USD ($1375each), 3pax $300USD ($1000each), 4pax $3500USD ($875each). These prices are double or twin room sharing and include all meals, pick up and drop off in Jeolla province, my guide and vehicle fees.
